Beardd: AI Beard Styles

1. Introduction

Welcome to Beardd: AI Beard Styles ("Beardd", "we", "us", or "our"). Beardd is an iOS application developed and operated by Leethub, LLC, a company incorporated in Delaware, USA.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the application.

2. Information We Collect

Device Information

Beardd uses anonymous device-based identification. We do not require you to sign in with Apple ID or any social account. When you use Beardd, we collect:

  • Device identifier: A randomly generated unique ID stored on your device, used to manage your credits and history.
  • IP address: Collected for security, fraud prevention, and analytics purposes.

User-Generated Content

  • Photos: Photos you select for beard and hairstyle editing are uploaded to our servers for AI processing.
  • Generated content: AI-generated beard and hairstyle photos are stored temporarily to allow you to view, save, and share them.

Purchase Information

  • Records of in-app purchases and subscriptions (managed by Apple).

Automatically Collected Data

When you use the app, we may automatically collect:

  • Device type and model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Usage patterns (features used, styles applied)
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Beardd app and its AI beard and hairstyle editing features
  • Process your photos using AI models and return styled results
  • Manage your credits, subscriptions, and generation history
  • Improve our app, features, and AI models
  • Detect and prevent technical issues, fraud, and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Face Data

Beardd collects photos that you voluntarily select from your device's photo library. These photos may contain your face, which is used solely as input for AI-powered beard and hairstyle style previews.

What We Collect

Photos you select for editing that may contain your face. We do not use facial recognition, facial mapping, biometric scanning, Face ID, ARKit, or TrueDepth camera data. No biometric identifiers or biometric information is extracted or created from your photos.

How We Use Face Data

Your photo is sent to our servers and then to a third-party AI processing service (Replicate) to generate a preview of how a selected beard or hairstyle would look on you. This is the sole use of your photo. We do not use your photos for training AI models or for any purpose other than generating your requested style preview.

Third-Party Sharing of Face Data

Your photo is shared only with Replicate (replicate.com) for AI image generation. Replicate processes the image and does not permanently retain it. No other third parties receive your photo.

Storage of Face Data

Input photos and generated results are stored on our servers (Amazon Web Services) to enable your Library and history features.

Retention of Face Data

Photos and generated results are retained for up to 30 days, or until you delete them from your Library, whichever comes first. When you delete items from your Library, the associated photos are permanently deleted from our servers. You may also request full account and data deletion by contacting us at contact@leethub.io.

5. Photo Processing

When you use Beardd to try a beard, mustache, or hairstyle:

  • Your photo is uploaded to our servers and sent to third-party AI processing services (such as Replicate) for generation.
  • Input photos and generated results are stored on our servers to enable your Library feature and allow you to re-access your creations.
  • Photos and generated content are automatically removed after 30 days.
  • We do not use your photos for training AI models.

  • Device data: Retained as long as you use the App. You can reset by reinstalling the App.
  • Photos and generated content: Retained for up to 30 days, or until you delete them from your Library, whichever comes first. Deleted photos are permanently removed from our servers.
  • Generation history: Retained until you delete items from your Library or the data expires (up to 30 days).
  • Usage data: Retained for up to 26 months for analytics.
  • Purchase records: Retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS
  • Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device using the iOS Keychain
  • Server access is restricted and monitored

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data. You can delete individual items from your Library within the App, or contact us for full data deletion.
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data.

10. Children's Privacy

Beardd is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
