Who you are

You have 6-10 years of experience in software development, particularly in building and extending Linux command-line applications. Your hands-on experience with Go programming language paradigms, constructs, and idioms sets you apart, as you are adept at developing tools similar to kubectl and docker-cli. You possess a solid understanding of Go-specific data structures and algorithms, and you are familiar with RESTful web services, which are essential for the role.

Your experience extends to both relational and non-relational databases, allowing you to manage data effectively. You have a strong background in Linux and system application development, which is crucial for developing internal tools at Acceldata. Additionally, your knowledge of DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes enhances your ability to contribute to the team.

What you'll do

As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will primarily focus on developing and extending Linux CLI applications for various product offerings at Acceldata. This includes creating tools that enhance the functionality of existing internal tools developed in Go, such as plugins for Telegraf and Filebeat. You will also be responsible for developing web applications that integrate these tools with customer APIs and services, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.

You will collaborate closely with data teams to ensure that the tools you develop meet their needs and enhance their ability to manage data effectively. Your role will involve not only coding but also understanding customer requirements and translating them into technical solutions. You will have the opportunity to lead projects and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment.
