Your expertise in JavaScript and frameworks like React allows you to develop high-quality, maintainable code that meets user needs. You are passionate about data visualization and understand how to present complex datasets in a clear and compelling manner.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers and product managers. You thrive in environments where you can mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge, fostering a culture of learning and innovation. Your experience with geospatial data and environmental science is a plus, as it aligns with Aclima's mission to improve air quality through technology.

What you'll do

As the Frontend Engineering Lead at Aclima, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for the frontend team, ensuring that the user experience of our analytics platform is both intuitive and impactful. You will lead the development of geospatial visualizations that translate complex air quality data into actionable insights for communities and policymakers. Your role will involve collaborating closely with backend engineers to integrate data sources and optimize performance.

You will also be tasked with mentoring and guiding a team of frontend engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers. You will participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed and that the codebase remains clean and efficient. Additionally, you will work with product managers to define user requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring that the final product meets user expectations and drives engagement.
