You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, ideally within the energy sector or a related field. Your strategic thinking allows you to shape narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, and you excel at translating complex ideas into compelling content. You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to brief leadership effectively and collaborate across teams. Your experience includes managing external vendors to deliver high-quality content from concept through execution, ensuring that all communications align with organizational goals.
You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and impact. Your ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from team members to executives, sets you apart as a leader in communications.
Desirable
Experience in the energy sector or social impact communications is a plus. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms can enhance your effectiveness in this role. What you'll do
As the Communications Manager for Acumen's Energy portfolio, you will be responsible for shaping the narrative around our initiatives and amplifying our messaging to key stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop communication strategies that highlight the impact of our work in energy access. Your role will involve briefing leadership for key moments, ensuring they are well-prepared to communicate our mission and achievements effectively.
You will manage external vendors to produce high-quality content, overseeing projects from concept through execution. This includes creating press releases, social media content, and other materials that align with our brand voice and strategic objectives. You will also analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts, using data to inform future strategies and improve engagement.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse team of strategists, writers, and designers, contributing to a collaborative environment that values creativity and innovation. You will play a key role in enhancing Acumen's visibility and reputation in the energy sector, helping to drive our mission forward.
What we offer
Acumen offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $97,000, along with a performance-based bonus. We are committed to equal pay and ensure that compensation is determined through comparison to a cohort of employees at the same level of accountability. Our hybrid work model allows for flexibility, with three days in the office each week. You will be part of a mission-driven organization that values dignity and social impact, working alongside passionate individuals dedicated to making a difference in the world.
