Who you are
You have extensive experience in embedded software development, particularly in automotive environments, with a strong focus on Adaptive AUTOSAR and security protocols. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to design robust firmware solutions that meet stringent safety and security standards. You understand the complexities of integrating firmware with middleware platforms and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software architectures.
Your background includes working with LiDAR systems or similar sensor technologies, giving you insights into the unique challenges of perception systems in autonomous applications. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that software solutions align with hardware capabilities and meet project timelines. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to navigate technical challenges effectively, and you are committed to continuous learning in the rapidly evolving field of automotive technology.
Desirable
Experience with security compliance in automotive systems is a plus, as is familiarity with production deployment processes. You may also have knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks that enhance your ability to contribute to diverse projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the design and integration of Aeva’s LiDAR firmware, ensuring seamless interoperability with Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware platforms. You will define the software architecture that supports production deployment and meets safety and security compliance requirements. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with hardware engineers to optimize firmware performance and reliability, as well as conducting code reviews to maintain high standards of quality.
You will also be involved in defining best practices for firmware development, including documentation and testing strategies. As a key member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Aeva’s innovative sensing and perception technology, enabling safer and more intelligent autonomous devices.
