Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing advanced ML systems. Your expertise in Python and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS enable you to build scalable solutions that meet business needs. You have a proven track record of mentoring engineers and guiding teams through complex, ambiguous challenges, ensuring clarity and direction in your projects.
Your deep understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras allows you to develop innovative models that drive impactful decisions. You are passionate about responsible AI and committed to creating inclusive financial products that enhance user experience. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to align technical strategies with company goals.
Desirable
Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with data engineering principles will set you apart. Knowledge of additional ML tools and libraries, as well as a background in financial services, would be beneficial but not required. You are eager to stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply them to real-world problems.
What you'll do
In this role, you will define and drive the technical strategy for machine learning at Affirm, ensuring alignment with company-wide priorities. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced ML systems, setting the architectural direction for complex, cross-functional projects. Your contributions will elevate Affirm's modeling capabilities and influence the roadmaps of partner teams and platforms.
You will collaborate with ML Platform, engineering, product, and risk leaders to design, implement, and scale modeling approaches that drive critical decisions across the company. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our systems can support increasingly sophisticated workloads, contributing to a cohesive long-term ML strategy.
