Who you are

You have a strong background in DevOps engineering with a focus on site reliability, having led initiatives that improve system resilience and operational efficiency. Your experience includes defining and promoting SRE best practices, ensuring that services are reliable and scalable. You are proficient in using tools like AWS and Ansible, and you have a deep understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Your expertise in Linux systems allows you to troubleshoot and optimize performance effectively.

You are a proactive problem solver who can identify and mitigate reliability risks across services. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and have experience implementing SLI/SLO-driven engineering practices. Your leadership skills enable you to guide teams in adopting safe deployment strategies, including canary releases and automated rollbacks, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the technical vision and architecture for new SRE platforms at Agoda. You will design, build, and operate reliability platforms that include load shedding and business signals monitoring. Your responsibilities will also involve improving system resilience and multi-cluster readiness by collaborating closely with the platform team. You will own the deployment strategies that protect business impact while maintaining developer velocity, integrating monitoring and alerting systems to ensure operational excellence.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote SRE best practices and drive initiatives that enhance the reliability of Agoda’s services. Your role will require you to proactively identify scaling risks and implement solutions that support the growth of the platform. You will also mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
