Who you are
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems at scale — you've owned services from design through deployment and have navigated the complexities of distributed systems. Your deep expertise in Java and Spring allows you to create high-performance APIs that handle millions of requests, and you have strong opinions on service architecture and testing strategies. You are familiar with AWS and understand how to leverage cloud services to enhance application performance and reliability. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to turn innovative ideas into real products. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you approach challenges with curiosity and a desire to learn. You are motivated by the mission of creating impactful solutions and are eager to contribute to a team that values ownership and accountability.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and implement scalable backend services that support Airwallex's IAM and Account Infrastructure. You will lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
