Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining data platforms that support analytics and machine learning initiatives. Your expertise in AWS and Python allows you to design scalable data solutions that meet the needs of a growing business. You are proficient in SQL and have experience with data warehousing concepts, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for stakeholders.
You are familiar with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and have hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Your knowledge of PostgreSQL and other databases enables you to optimize data storage and retrieval processes effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines that support the Knowledge Platform and AI Enablement initiatives at Airwallex. You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and ensure that the data infrastructure is robust and scalable. Your work will involve optimizing existing data workflows and implementing best practices for data governance and security.
You will also play a key role in integrating various data sources into a unified platform, enabling real-time analytics and insights. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the data platform.
