Who you are
You have extensive experience in risk management and fraud prevention, ideally within the financial services or payments industry. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to assess complex risk scenarios and develop effective mitigation strategies. You are a strong communicator, capable of articulating risk concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that everyone understands the importance of fraud prevention. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement risk management frameworks that align with business objectives.
You possess a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to fraud risk. Your experience includes developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance the organization's ability to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. You are proactive in identifying emerging threats and trends in fraud, leveraging data analytics and technology to stay ahead of potential risks. You are also comfortable using AI and machine learning tools to enhance fraud detection capabilities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the fraud risk management strategy for Airwallex, ensuring that the company's financial platform remains secure against fraudulent activities. You will oversee the development and implementation of risk assessment processes, working closely with product and engineering teams to integrate fraud prevention measures into the platform. You will analyze transaction data to identify patterns and anomalies, using your findings to inform risk management decisions and improve existing processes.
You will collaborate with external partners and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your role will involve training and mentoring team members on best practices in fraud risk management, fostering a culture of awareness and vigilance across the organization.
