What you'll do

As a Lead Native App Developer at AKQA, you will be responsible for delivering native mobile development end-to-end across the full app life cycle — from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing support. You will define the work needed to implement solutions, ensuring that your team understands the feasibility and delivery impact of each task. Your role will involve estimating project timelines accurately and reporting progress clearly to stakeholders.

You will produce high-quality code that meets performance, reliability, and maintainability standards — your attention to detail will help ensure that the applications you develop are robust and user-friendly. Collaborating closely with the Experience Design team, you will deliver high-fidelity, platform-appropriate user interfaces that align with client requirements and enhance user satisfaction.

Integrating with external systems and APIs will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will optimizing app performance to ensure a seamless user experience. You will also be tasked with debugging issues as they arise, providing clear explanations and solutions to your team and stakeholders.
