Job Description
Who you are
You are a builder who wants to own outcomes rather than just tasks. You thrive in environments where you can think about the big picture while balancing precision with iteration. You are energized by the prospect of creating a new category in the aerospace industry rather than competing in an existing one. As part of the first 100 employees at Albedo, you will have a significant impact on the company's trajectory in proliferating Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) missions. You are a systems thinker who understands the complexities of satellite technology and is excited about the challenges that come with it.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where calculated risks are encouraged. You have a passion for innovation and are eager to contribute to projects that matter for national security and everyday life on Earth. You are ready to collaborate with a team that has already proven what others deemed impossible, and you are excited about scaling and upgrading VLEO buses and payloads for various mission sets.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of satellite mission development, including advancing hardware to increase satellite longevity and scaling production for large constellations. You will work closely with engineers and other team members to build next-generation flight and ground software that enhances performance. Your contributions will help enable missions that are crucial for both national security and civilian applications.
You will be part of a team that operates with a first-principles approach, moving quickly and learning from each project. You will engage in hands-on work that directly impacts the success of satellite missions, ensuring that Albedo remains at the forefront of VLEO technology. Your role will require collaboration across disciplines, leveraging AI and other technologies to create leverage in every area of the company.
What we offer
Albedo offers a unique opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking team in the aerospace industry. You will work in-person at our Broomfield, CO headquarters, where collaboration and productivity are maximized. We foster a culture of urgency and innovation, encouraging you to take ownership of your work and contribute to our first-mover advantage in the VLEO market. As one of the Bedo 100, you will have the chance to shape the future of satellite missions and make a lasting impact in the field.
