Allscripts is hiring a Senior Tax Analyst to prepare tax provisions and returns while ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires expertise in tax law and accounting principles.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in tax analysis and compliance, with a deep understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and related regulations. Your experience includes preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring adherence to SOX 404 compliance, and maintaining internal controls. You are detail-oriented and committed to minimizing tax liabilities through efficient application of current tax laws.
You possess excellent analytical skills and are adept at managing tax records and files. Your knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC requirements allows you to contribute effectively to financial accounting for income tax on a quarterly and annual basis. You are proactive in avoiding penalties and interest by adhering to internal controls and tax calendars.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prepare quarterly and year-end tax provisions, ensuring timely filing of all applicable tax returns. You will maintain the organization's tax records and files, contributing to the overall accuracy and compliance of tax reporting. Your responsibilities will include preparing governmental tax returns and claims for tax refunds, as well as assisting in financial accounting for income tax.
You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that all tax-related activities align with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve continuous learning and staying updated on relevant tax laws and regulations to provide the best possible guidance to the organization.
