Overview

Altarum is seeking a Senior Training Specialist with behavioral health expertise to lead training and technical assistance for substance use disorder projects. You'll develop curriculum and provide training to the behavioral health workforce. This role requires expertise in behavioral health services.

Who you are

You have a strong background in behavioral health, particularly in substance use disorder treatment and peer recovery support. Your expertise allows you to effectively design and deliver training programs tailored to the needs of the behavioral health workforce. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with diverse stakeholders, including federal and state clients, management, and care providers. You are adept at translating evidence-based insights into actionable public health solutions, ensuring that your training materials are both informative and practical.

You have experience in developing curriculum focused on adult learning principles, which allows you to create engaging and effective training resources. Your ability to provide both virtual and in-person training sessions demonstrates your flexibility and commitment to meeting the needs of your audience. You are comfortable working independently and collaboratively, adapting your approach based on the specific requirements of each project.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of training programs for the behavioral health workforce, focusing on substance use disorder treatment and peer recovery support. You will develop curriculum and learning resources that cater to adult learners, ensuring that the content is relevant and applicable to their professional practice. Your responsibilities will include providing technical assistance to behavioral health professionals, helping them implement best practices in their work.

You will collaborate closely with federal, state, and philanthropic clients, as well as contractors and consultants, to ensure that training initiatives align with project goals and client expectations.
