Overview
Amazon is hiring an Applied Scientist for the LEO Capacity Planning team to design and implement systems for optimizing satellite network resources. You have a strong background in applied science, with experience in designing and implementing systems for complex optimization problems. Your expertise in capacity simulations and inventory optimization is complemented by your ability to work cross-functionally with product, business development, and technical teams. What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the long-term vision and strategy for capacity simulations and inventory optimization within Amazon LEO. You will design and deliver modern, flexible, and scalable solutions that address complex optimization problems related to satellite resource planning and management. Your contributions will be instrumental in helping the LEO team execute its business plans globally.
You will collaborate closely with various technical teams to define short and long-term technical roadmaps, predicting future inventory availability and key operational and financial metrics across the network. Your work will involve designing systems that can adapt to changing requirements and ensuring that the solutions you develop are robust and efficient.
