You have 5+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications — you've successfully developed and deployed models that address real-world challenges, particularly in the life sciences. Your academic background includes a PhD, which has equipped you with a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied research. You are proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python, allowing you to adapt and implement complex algorithms effectively.
You have a deep understanding of neural deep learning methods and machine learning techniques — your experience includes working on projects that leverage these technologies to drive innovation. You thrive in collaborative environments, mentoring junior scientists and fostering a culture of curiosity and exploration within your team. Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to think big and tackle significant challenges, aligning with Amazon's leadership principles.
What you'll do
As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will focus on building, adapting, and evaluating machine learning models specifically for life sciences applications — your work will directly contribute to innovative solutions that can impact the industry.
