Your expertise in multimodal LLMs and vision language models positions you as a leader in the field, and you are eager to push the boundaries of technology.

You possess a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and you have significant experience in defining research directions and conducting rigorous experiments. You are skilled at translating research findings into practical applications, ensuring that your work contributes to the overall mission of the organization. Your ability to mentor and lead teams is complemented by your strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

As a Principal Applied Scientist at Amazon, you will define key research directions in multimodal LLMs and computer vision, adopting or inventing new techniques to advance the field. You will conduct experiments, publish results, and ensure that your research is translated into practice. Your role will involve developing long-term strategies and persuading teams to adopt these strategies, setting ambitious goals, and delivering on them.

You will participate in organizational planning, hiring, mentorship, and leadership development, serving as a key scientific resource throughout the full-cycle development process. This includes conception, design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance of integrated hardware and software platforms. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the customer experience and making neighborhoods safer through innovative technology.
