Who you are
You have a strong background in automation engineering, with experience in maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance. Your expertise in troubleshooting complex control systems is essential, and you are skilled in analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems. Your familiarity with state-of-the-art technology, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, and print and apply systems, sets you apart. You are committed to ensuring that customers receive their orders with Amazon's signature speed and accuracy.
Desirable
Experience with robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) is a plus, as is a background in implementing innovative projects that enhance operational efficiency. You are proactive in your approach and have a keen eye for detail, which helps you identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
What you'll do
As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide proactive controls automation and technical support to maximize equipment reliability. You will troubleshoot complex control systems and analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will work on optimizing MHE systems and implementing innovative projects that enhance operational performance. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of fulfillment centers, ensuring that products are delivered to customers quickly and accurately. You will also be involved in continuous improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence across the organization.
