What you'll do

As a Construction Cost Engineer at Amazon, you will support a portfolio of Data Center Construction projects across North and South America. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and control costs throughout the construction process, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will collaborate with various teams to analyze project requirements and develop cost estimates that reflect the complexities of AWS infrastructure.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining cost control metrics, benchmarks, and reports that provide insights into project performance. Your role will involve regular communication with project managers and stakeholders to discuss cost implications and recommend strategies for cost optimization. You will also participate in project planning sessions, providing valuable input on cost-related decisions and helping to identify potential risks and opportunities.

In addition, you will leverage your knowledge of construction systems and processes to support the development of best practices within the team.
