You have a strong background in construction project management, with a focus on overseeing new builds and capital projects. Your experience includes direct interface with construction general contractors, where you've successfully managed project scope, quality, schedule, and budget. You are skilled in conducting negotiations and evaluating bids with precision, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with organizational standards.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers to deliver projects that meet the highest safety and security standards. What you'll do
As a Construction Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for the oversight of construction-related activities for AWS data centers. This includes managing the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and closeout. You will work closely with general contractors during the bidding and award phases, ensuring that all proposals are evaluated accurately and that negotiations are conducted effectively.
Your role will involve creating and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you work to address any challenges that arise during the construction process.
