What you'll do
As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for conducting daily building rounds to monitor and record information from various systems, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. Your role will involve ensuring that these systems are operational 24/7, contributing to the overall reliability and availability of the data center. You will monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), assisting in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). You will perform rack installations and decommissioning, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and within the established SLA. Additionally, you will engage in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. Your technical writing skills will support the change management program, and you will monitor daily work requests, managing them to resolution.
