You have a foundational understanding of hardware and network diagnostics, and you are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure optimal data center operations. You are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation and are committed to maintaining high standards for safety and security in your work.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure or data center operations is a plus, but not required. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies will set you apart. You may have some familiarity with AWS services or similar cloud platforms, which will help you in your role.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the heartbeat of AWS's global cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing in-depth hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs to ensure seamless data center operations. You will collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers, to deliver the highest standards of service. You will also participate in an on-call rotation, responding to urgent issues as they arise to minimize downtime and maintain service continuity.

Your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring that all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment are functioning optimally. You will be responsible for monitoring systems and identifying potential problems before they escalate, contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of AWS services. You will also have the opportunity to work on challenging problems that impact the supply chain, collaborating with various teams across AWS to implement effective solutions.
