You have a strong background in data engineering with experience in designing and maintaining data infrastructure. You are comfortable working with large datasets and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring data quality and accuracy in your work. Your technical skills include proficiency in AWS services, Redshift, and Apache Spark, which you have used to develop scalable solutions in previous roles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with business, engineering, and science teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions. You are a problem solver who enjoys tackling complex data challenges and optimizing systems for performance.
Desirable
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools. You have a passion for logistics and understand the importance of data in driving business decisions. If you have experience in the last mile delivery sector, that would be an added advantage.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the design, development, and maintenance of last mile data sets, ensuring they meet the needs of the AMZL leadership and BI teams. You will manipulate and mine data from various database tables, utilizing tools like Redshift and Apache Spark SQL to extract valuable insights. Your responsibilities will include conducting deep dives into data to identify trends and anomalies, as well as implementing quality checks and monitoring systems to maintain data integrity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring that the data infrastructure supports the rapidly expanding logistics operations effectively.
