You have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in monitoring and maintaining infrastructure in data centers. You understand the importance of maintaining customer availability and are familiar with the operational procedures required in a data center environment. Your experience includes conducting routine inspections and readings of mechanical and electrical devices, ensuring that all equipment operates within specified parameters. You are comfortable working with contractors and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of Amazon's data centers, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient. You will conduct daily operational readings and inspections, documenting temperatures, voltages, and current levels to maintain optimal performance. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring contractors performing maintenance and preventive work, ensuring that all safety standards are implemented and adhered to.
You will be part of the Engineering-and-Facilities team, contributing to the overall success of the data center operations. Your role will require you to engage in fault analysis during internal investigations, helping to identify and resolve issues that may arise. You will promote a proactive safety culture within the team, emphasizing the importance of quality, health, and environmental protection in all operations.
