You thrive in collaborative settings, engaging closely with business and engineering teams to gather requirements and implement new features. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex design issues involving algorithms and hardware interfaces with enthusiasm.

You are familiar with agile software development methodologies and contribute to all aspects of the software development life cycle, including design, architecture, documentation, testing, and operations. Your experience includes participating in design reviews and influencing technical implementations across teams. You are proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance your team's agility and effectiveness.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and building the software for Ring IoT products, ensuring that the system design and architecture meet the required specifications. You will dive deep into critical design issues, collaborating with partner teams to solve complex problems related to embedded systems and IoT interfaces. Your contributions will include developing embedded software and participating in design reviews to ensure high-quality implementations. You will also work on defining system requirements and developing features related to system health monitoring and diagnostics.

You will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of projects and drive improvements in design and automation processes. Your hands-on approach will be essential in addressing challenges and delivering innovative solutions that enhance the functionality and reliability of Ring products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all aspects of the development process align with business goals and user needs.
