What you'll do

As a Data Center Engineering Operations Intern, you will work directly in an Amazon Data Center, where you will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment. You will assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures and help troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal service level agreements (SLAs). Daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that everything is functioning as expected.

You will utilize internal Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage building workflows, which will give you valuable experience in operational metrics reporting. Your role will also involve collaborating with third-party vendors and contractors who are working on-site, providing you with insights into vendor management and operational efficiency. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about the critical infrastructure that supports AWS and to develop skills that are essential for a career in engineering operations.
