Who you are
You have a strong background in engineering management, with experience leading cross-functional projects that drive operational excellence. You excel in managing project lifecycles across various organizations and geographies, ensuring that objectives and targets are met efficiently. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with stakeholders to set priorities and establish milestones, proactively addressing dependencies and mitigating issues as they arise.
You are skilled in conducting engineering reviews and contributing to the improvement of proposed solutions for systems and components. Your ability to articulate system and equipment designs clearly, including technical specifications and capabilities, is a key strength that you bring to the table. You understand the importance of effective communication and documentation, ensuring that meetings are productive and that all discussions, decisions, and action items are properly recorded.
Your experience includes overseeing the execution of systems and automated equipment designs, where you manage installation, throughput, and safety qualifications while optimizing processes. You are proactive in identifying and spearheading process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and deliver the best results for customers.
Desirable
You have a background in supply chain operations or logistics, which gives you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within the industry. Familiarity with advanced technologies used in package delivery and sortation systems is a plus, as is experience in managing change order controls and purchase orders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects at Amazon, focusing on developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. You will actively participate in engineering reviews, contributing to and improving proposed solutions for systems and components. Your leadership will be crucial in collaborating with stakeholders to set priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules, ensuring that all project objectives are met.
You will oversee the execution of systems and automated equipment designs, managing the installation process and ensuring that throughput and safety qualifications are met. Your role will involve conducting effective meetings, providing timely and accurate project status updates, and performing risk analyses to mitigate potential issues. You will clearly articulate system and equipment designs to both internal and external partners, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
Additionally, you will develop and maintain strong working relationships across multiple projects and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency. Your ability to identify and spearhead process improvement initiatives will be key to enhancing operational performance and delivering exceptional results for Amazon's customers.
