You are an experienced Engineering Operations Technician with a strong background in maintaining critical infrastructure within data centers. You have a detail-oriented mindset and understand the importance of operational excellence, ensuring that systems operate at 100% availability while providing first-class customer service. Your technical expertise allows you to operate and maintain all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment effectively, contributing to the overall success of the data center operations.

Your ability to work collaboratively with various teams within the data center organization makes you a valuable asset. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical data center equipment. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally, maintaining better than 99.999% uptime. You will serve as a technical resource, supporting the data center organization in achieving its operational goals. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and implementing best practices to enhance system reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that improve operational performance and customer satisfaction. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of the data center, and you will be encouraged to innovate and propose new ideas that can lead to cost reductions and improved service delivery. You will also be involved in training and mentoring junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
