You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience with AWS and Linux will be invaluable as you contribute to maintaining mission-critical facilities. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences.

You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving — you are comfortable working with various systems, including diesel generators, UPSs, and cooling systems. Your ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers and specialists will help you succeed in this role. You are eager to learn and grow within a dynamic organization like Amazon.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data centers — your work will directly contribute to achieving our goal of 99.999% uptime. You will operate and maintain critical facilities, including stand-by diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems. Your hands-on expertise will be essential in ensuring that all systems function optimally and efficiently.

You will collaborate with a team of engineers to address any operational challenges that arise — your role will involve diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies. You will also participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in data center operations. Your contributions will help keep the cloud running smoothly and efficiently, supporting customers worldwide.
