Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience includes maintaining and operating mission-critical facilities, ensuring that technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of uptime in data centers and are committed to delivering exceptional service.
You have a background in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, which equips you with the skills to work on systems such as diesel generators, UPSs, and three-phase electrical systems. You are detail-oriented and capable of diagnosing issues quickly, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance. You are a team player who collaborates effectively with engineers and specialists across various disciplines.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting data center operations, focusing on mission-critical facilities. Your role will involve working with stand-by diesel generators, fuel systems, and various electrical systems, including switch gear and PDUs. You will ensure that all systems are operational and that any issues are resolved promptly to maintain the high uptime standards expected in data centers.
You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists, contributing to the overall success of AWS infrastructure services. Your hands-on approach will be essential in keeping the cloud running smoothly, as you tackle challenges related to power, cooling, and equipment maintenance. You will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
