You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. Desirable

Experience with diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems is a plus. Familiarity with cooling systems and UPS technology will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data centers. You will work directly with equipment such as stand-by diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, and cooling systems to ensure they operate at peak performance. Your role will involve conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment failures to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiency. Additionally, you will document your work and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes.

You will be part of a team that is dedicated to achieving an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%. This means you will need to be proactive in identifying potential issues before they escalate.
