Overview

Amazon is hiring a Process Assistant to support the External Fulfillment team in Chiba. You'll be responsible for routine operations and logistics process improvement, requiring business-level Japanese proficiency.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong command of Japanese at a business level, ready to support Amazon's External Fulfillment team in Chiba. You thrive in operational roles and are eager to contribute to logistics processes and improvements. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify challenges and work collaboratively with external partners to enhance operational efficiency. You are proactive in visiting external warehouses to gather data and insights that will drive process improvements. You understand the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in logistics operations and are committed to achieving operational KPIs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will execute routine operational tasks, addressing inquiries and issues that arise in the logistics environment. You will support external partners in managing their operations to ensure a smooth and efficient site operation. You will engage in discussions with third-party logistics providers to manage shipping plans and workforce allocation based on internal KPIs. Your responsibilities will include standardizing processes and updating SOPs to pursue cost reductions while enhancing the accuracy of logistics operations. You will also be involved in project work, including new business initiatives and process improvements, and will conduct safety checks and quality management as directed by your supervisor. Expect to travel to other sites approximately twice a week, and be prepared for a shift-based work schedule that includes weekends.
