Your experience includes working in academic or industrial fabrication facilities, where you've developed a keen understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes. Your hands-on experience with complex semiconductor fabrication and characterization equipment has equipped you with the skills necessary to troubleshoot and maintain these systems effectively. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are comfortable leading initiatives that enhance lab infrastructure and equipment health programs.
What you'll do
As an Equipment Engineer at the AWS Center for Quantum Computing, you will work in a cleanroom environment, ensuring that complex semiconductor fabrication and characterization equipment operates at optimal performance. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting equipment-related issues, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting calibrations to maximize tool uptime for wafer processing and characterization.
You will interact with vendors during the installation of new equipment and scheduled repairs, ensuring that all systems are integrated smoothly into the lab environment. Your role will also involve evaluating and developing procedures that enhance equipment performance and reliability, contributing to the overall success of the research and development efforts at the facility.
Collaboration with research scientists and process engineers will be a key aspect of your work, as you will need to communicate effectively about equipment performance and any challenges that arise. You will take the lead on aspects of the equipment health program, making self-guided and team-guided improvements to ensure that the lab operates efficiently and effectively.
