Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical field, and you possess a strong understanding of financial performance metrics. Your background includes working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, and Cognos, which you have used to create insightful financial reports. You are skilled in leading cross-functional teams and have a proven ability to influence stakeholders to coordinate key planning workstreams and projects. Your experience includes developing processes and automating reporting, showcasing your ability to drive efficiency improvements in financial operations. You hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, which has provided you with a solid foundation for this role.

Desirable

Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, or JD Edwards is a plus, as is familiarity with process improvements through automation and analysis. You are comfortable diving deep into variances versus plan to understand changes and uncover opportunities for efficiency improvement. Your ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and collaborate across teams will be essential in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the planning cycles for a multi-billion dollar business, leading the AWS Services FP&A team in generating business insights and analytics. You will be responsible for deep-diving into financial variances to understand changes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Your leadership will guide cross-functional projects involving finance and tech teams, ensuring that processes are set up effectively and reporting is automated. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the key AWS services planning and reporting processes, which will enable you to provide valuable insights to senior executives. Your role will also involve setting up processes that enhance the overall efficiency of financial operations, contributing to the growth and success of the AWS Services team.
