Overview

Amazon is hiring an IT Support Engineer II to provide comprehensive technical support for its Amazon Leo satellite broadband network. You'll work with Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, ensuring operational efficiency across various infrastructures. This position requires relevant technical experience.

Who you are

You have a solid background in IT support, with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS. Your technical skills enable you to provision and deploy workstations and servers effectively, ensuring that all systems run smoothly. You are familiar with network infrastructure components such as switches, routers, and firewalls, and can configure and replace them as needed. Your ability to process support tickets efficiently demonstrates your commitment to customer service and operational excellence.

You are a proactive team player who enjoys collaborating with others, participating in hiring and training initiatives to help develop your colleagues. You understand the importance of maintaining reliable technology systems and are dedicated to providing remote support for employees and infrastructure worldwide. Your experience in scheduled maintenance and system upgrades ensures that you can keep systems up-to-date and functioning optimally.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for Amazon Leo's infrastructure, warehousing operations, production environments, and laboratory facilities. You will process support tickets according to approved standard operating procedures, triaging and resolving customer issues efficiently. Your expertise in provisioning, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows, Linux, and macOS workstations will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency.

You will also provision and deploy bare-metal Windows and Linux servers, ensuring that all systems are configured correctly and functioning as intended. Your role will involve configuring, deploying, and replacing network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to maintain a robust network environment. You will participate in the hiring, training, and development of others, fostering a collaborative team culture.

Additionally, you will provide technical support for Leo Production, lab, and launch infrastructure, as well as associated software. Your ability to perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades will help ensure that all systems remain reliable and efficient. You will assist with remote support for Leo employees and infrastructure worldwide, contributing to the overall success of the Amazon Leo mission.
