You have 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services, which has equipped you with the skills to tackle challenges in a fast-paced environment.

You possess excellent project management skills, allowing you to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and service improvements. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to motivate your team and achieve results effectively.

What you'll do

As a Software Development Manager at Amazon, you will lead a nimble team of engineers responsible for one of the world's largest product classification engines. Your role will involve direct management of engineers, focusing on their growth and development while ensuring the quality of service improvements. You will engage in strategic planning and project management for software within your team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

You will be responsible for overseeing the architecture and design of scalable systems that calculate accurate tax amounts for transactions on Amazon’s platform. Your leadership will guide the team in utilizing Machine Learning to enhance the product classification process, ensuring that the systems are both complex and scalable.

You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within your team, encouraging engineers to explore new technologies and methodologies. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial as you work with various stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives.
