Who you are
You are a talented attorney with over 5 years of legal experience, particularly in the Payments segment and Privacy matters. You hold a J.D. and are a member in good standing of a Brazilian state bar, demonstrating your commitment to the legal profession. Your fluency in both Portuguese and English allows you to communicate effectively in a bilingual environment, and your strong written and oral communication skills enable you to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
You possess a strong transactional background, which equips you to structure, draft, and negotiate commercial transactions effectively. Your proactive and entrepreneurial mindset allows you to navigate ambiguous situations with sound judgment, making you a valuable asset to the team. You thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and have experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams.
What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as the primary attorney responsible for counseling Amazon's Payment businesses in Brazil on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters. You will work directly with the business, acting as lead counsel on strategic deals and providing day-to-day legal advice. Your responsibilities will include resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing legal insights that support business objectives while mitigating risks. Your ability to work independently will be crucial as you navigate complex legal landscapes and contribute to the overall success of the Payments and Privacy initiatives. Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required as part of your role.
