What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design of innovative fulfillment and distribution systems, collaborating with a team of highly skilled engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to design approval and hand-off to the Operations Engineering team. Your projects will include designing highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers, each requiring a unique approach to meet specific operational needs.

You will engage with suppliers to ensure that the technical specifications of your designs are met, acting as the primary technical contact throughout the project. Once designs are approved, you will support the installation and commissioning phases, working closely with the Operations Engineering team to ensure successful implementation. Your role will involve problem-solving and troubleshooting during the installation process, ensuring that systems are launched effectively and meet operational requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of innovation within the team. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of Amazon's logistics operations, making this a high-impact role within the organization.
