Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in designing and developing mechanical systems. Your expertise includes creating and optimizing 3D CAD models and mechanical assemblies, and you are proficient in GD&T for detailed engineering drawings. You have a solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, ensuring designs are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective.

You thrive in collaborative environments, mentoring junior engineers and leading complex technical projects. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues is complemented by your experience in conducting structural, thermal, and vibration analyses. You are also familiar with leveraging AI tools to enhance mechanical design processes, making you a forward-thinking engineer.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead mechanical design projects from concept through production, ensuring that all designs meet product requirements and customer expectations. You will create detailed engineering drawings and select appropriate materials for manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include developing mechanical test plans and validating designs through prototyping, as well as managing relationships with external vendors and manufacturing partners.

You will collaborate closely with industrial design, electrical, and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative hardware solutions. Your role will also involve documenting designs, test results, and technical specifications, while evaluating new materials and manufacturing technologies for future products. By applying AI tools and techniques, you will optimize mechanical designs and processes, contributing to the overall success of the Ring Accessories Hardware Development team.
