What you'll do

As an Applied Scientist II at Amazon, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop optimization-driven solutions that enhance process efficiency within the Fulfillment Network. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing scalable mathematical models to derive optimal solutions for various operational challenges, such as labor planning, pick scheduling, and capacity risk management. You will dive deep into data and code to identify areas for continuous improvement and innovative approaches that can disrupt existing processes.

You will be responsible for building and deploying machine learning models that power production systems across Amazon Fulfillment Centers worldwide. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of operations and the experience of associates within the fulfillment network. You will also engage in regular collaboration with product managers and operations leaders to ensure that your solutions align with business requirements and operational goals.
