You have a strong background in public relations, particularly in sustainability or energy sectors, and are adept at developing comprehensive communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Your experience includes managing both proactive and reactive media relations, ensuring that messaging aligns with business objectives and stakeholder interests. You excel in creating compelling narratives that highlight key initiatives and have a knack for leveraging various channels to amplify these messages.
You are a collaborative team player, comfortable working with cross-functional teams including Executive Communications, Operations Internal Comms, and Public Policy. Your ability to partner closely with business stakeholders allows you to align communications strategies effectively with ongoing business activities. You are proactive in anticipating media inquiries and adept at managing external PR agencies to ensure consistent messaging and reporting.
Desirable
Experience in the tech industry, particularly with large organizations like Amazon, is a plus. Familiarity with digital and social media strategies will enhance your ability to support multi-channel campaigns effectively. You are also skilled in sourcing inputs for external communication materials and have a keen eye for compelling visuals that can enhance storytelling.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that highlight Amazon's energy initiatives. You will create robust internal and external messaging for key stakeholders, ensuring that all communications reflect the company's commitment to sustainability. Your responsibilities will include managing proactive and reactive media relations, anticipating coverage, and responding to inquiries about data center impacts on the energy grid.
You will support multi-channel campaigns across traditional and non-traditional press, digital, social, and owned channels, ensuring that messaging is integrated across all platforms. Collaborating with various teams, you will help amplify Amazon's storytelling through third-party voices and manage external PR agencies to monitor and report on campaign effectiveness.
Additionally, you will develop briefing documents for key stakeholders and ensure that all communications materials are routed through internal channels for necessary approvals. Your role will be crucial in reinforcing what Amazon does best in the energy sector, contributing to the company's overall sustainability goals.
What we offer
Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $82,700.00 - $134,000.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
