Who you are
You have a strong background in supply chain management and are data-driven, business-oriented, and customer-centric. You understand the importance of aligning supply with demand and have experience in creating and maintaining production schedules. Your analytical skills allow you to assess demand changes effectively and drive solutions to eliminate gaps in supply plans.
You excel in communication, capable of leading meetings with global manufacturing partners and clearly conveying production statuses to senior stakeholders. Your strategic mindset enables you to develop production strategies for new product introductions and manage short and long-term planning effectively.
What you'll do
As a Supply Planning Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for all internal and external activities related to supply planning. You will create and maintain production schedules using various inputs, including capacity plans and material constraints. Your role will involve analyzing demand changes to ensure that supply aligns with requirements, driving solutions to address any short or long-term gaps in supply plans.
You will lead and facilitate meetings with global manufacturing partners to reduce and eliminate shortages, ensuring that production statuses are communicated clearly to senior and executive stakeholders. Additionally, you will develop production strategies for new product introductions through to end-of-life management, balancing supply and demand effectively.
Monitoring and reporting on supply chain costs will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will generating and distributing supply planning reports. Your ability to identify the best results for customers will be crucial in this role, as you work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Amazon's supply chain operations.
