Who you are
You have a strong background in systems development engineering, particularly in cloud computing environments — your experience includes architecting and developing tools that support mission-driven projects. You are passionate about building software that integrates across various services and enhances operational efficiency.
Your technical expertise includes proficiency in AWS and Linux, and you are comfortable using Python for automation and development tasks — you understand the importance of cybersecurity and have experience working with compliance frameworks like the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems — your communication skills enable you to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are proactive in investigating new ways to improve operations and are always looking for innovative solutions.
Desirable
Experience with Docker and Terraform is a plus, as you will be involved in automating and enhancing the infrastructure — familiarity with government regulations and compliance standards will help you succeed in this role.
What you'll do
As a Systems Development Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for designing architectural approaches for a controlled working environment — your role will involve building, operating, and maintaining a CMMC-approved infrastructure. You will collaborate with top engineers to develop new functionalities that support government agencies in their cloud adoption journey.
