You have experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in the produce and floral sectors. You are skilled in building and nurturing relationships with suppliers, ensuring that performance expectations are met and potential issues are resolved efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with internal teams and external partners to streamline procurement processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for executing the assigned commodity purchasing plan, overseeing the procurement and shipment of Produce and Floral items to Whole Foods Distribution Centers. You will uphold quality standards and product specifications for your assigned commodity group, ensuring that all products meet the necessary criteria. You will work with vendor partners to clarify performance expectations and develop effective resolution strategies for any issues that arise. Additionally, you will provide consistent market updates and analysis to the Perishable Merchandising team, helping to inform strategic decisions. Your networking skills will be crucial as you identify and nurture relationships with suppliers, ensuring a robust product mix and expanding the product program.
What we offer
Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $49,200.00 - $86,100.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) matching program, paid time off, and parental leave.
