Who you are
You are a motivated, customer-focused individual with experience in managing teams and operations. You understand the importance of safety, quality, and performance in a fast-paced environment. You have a proven track record of engaging and mentoring hourly workforce, ensuring they meet the highest standards during their shifts. You are physically capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and can stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts. You thrive in environments that can be loud and subject to variable temperatures, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
What you'll do
As an Area Manager II at Amazon, you will lead a team of hourly workforce, supporting and motivating them to achieve their best performance. You will manage key operational metrics including safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans that meet business objectives. You will be responsible for maintaining customer expectations, ensuring that orders are delivered accurately and on time. Your leadership will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and driving team engagement.
