Who you are
You are a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician with a strong foundation in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You have experience with automated packaging and distribution equipment, and you are eager to develop your skills further while mentoring junior technicians. Your background includes knowledge of Arduino and Embedded Linux, which you apply to ensure the reliability of the systems you work on. You are detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement, understanding the importance of your role in supporting Amazon's operations.
Desirable
Experience with mechanical engineering principles and practices is a plus, as well as familiarity with robotics systems. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to new technologies and processes as they arise. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn will help you thrive in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various automated systems within Amazon's facilities. You will work closely with the Operations Maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations. Your tasks will include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and implementing improvements to enhance system performance. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their roles.
You will engage in hands-on work with robotics and material handling equipment, ensuring that all systems meet safety and operational standards. Your role will involve collaborating with other technicians and engineers to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive efficiency and reliability.
