Who you are
You are a student pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field, with an expected graduation date between November 2026 and September 2027. You are eager to gain hands-on experience in hardware engineering and are excited about the opportunity to work with a team of Product Design Engineers. You possess strong communication skills and are comfortable working in a collaborative environment. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for technology and innovation.
Desirable
Experience with product design or engineering projects during your studies is a plus. Familiarity with CAD software or other design tools would be beneficial. You are adaptable and willing to learn new skills quickly, and you have a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
What you'll do
As a Product Design Engineer Intern at Amazon, you will be part of a Sustaining Engineering team, where you will support the design, debug, validation, and optimization of hardware products. You will gain exposure to the complete product development lifecycle, from pre-production development through manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include researching materials and processes to ensure the best results for our customers. You will also assist in engineering builds and gain experience with high-volume manufacturing. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for professional development and expand your network.
What we offer
Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks, with start dates in May to September 2026. You will have the chance to work on impactful projects and participate in team-building activities, social events, and educational sessions with other interns. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on learning experiences that will prepare you for a successful career in hardware engineering.
