Who you are
You have a strong background in public policy, ideally with experience in technology or cloud computing β you understand the regulatory landscape and can navigate complex government relationships. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders is second nature, and you thrive in environments where you can influence policy decisions that impact business outcomes.
You are innovative and strategic, with a proven track record of advancing business objectives through effective public policy initiatives. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate AWS's vision and the benefits of cloud computing to diverse audiences, including government officials and industry leaders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will represent AWS in Japan, engaging with policymakers to advocate for cloud adoption and address regulatory challenges. You will proactively build relationships with government officials and IT decision-makers, ensuring that AWS's interests are well-represented in policy discussions. Your responsibilities will include leading AWS's participation in industry associations and coalitions, which are critical to advancing public policy objectives.
You will work closely with the Head of Public Policy for Japan & Korea, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align AWS's business strategies with public policy initiatives. Your insights will help shape AWS's approach to regulatory issues, and you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for growth in the digital economy.
