Who you are

You have over 3 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, technical management, or service operations, with a strong focus on security, risk, and compliance. Your background includes hands-on experience in various cybersecurity domains such as identity and access management, infrastructure security, data security, and application security. You have practical experience as a software developer, systems administrator, network engineer, or systems architect, and you thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside large delivery teams and other IT and cybersecurity professionals.

You possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies and IT systems, particularly in commercial cloud environments and zero-trust architectures. Your knowledge extends to secure software development practices and the application of advanced technologies. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise communication. You are data-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, managing priorities effectively while engaging with multiple internal stakeholders.

What you'll do

As a Security Consultant at Amazon, you will work with our AWS Professional Services Security, Risk, and Compliance (SRC) team to deliver project-based support to our enterprise clients. You will collaborate with customers to develop security strategies and roadmaps, provide architecture design and implementation support, conduct technical assessments, and assist with incident response and security control implementations. Your role will involve contributing to pre-sales opportunities, understanding customer security and compliance requirements, and proposing and delivering security solutions during customer engagements.

You will engage in various projects that may include developing architecture and compliance roadmaps, security guidelines, security gap assessments, and reviews of security architecture and design. You will also be responsible for implementing security controls and services through short-term onsite or remote projects. Your ability to influence technical and business stakeholders will be crucial as you work to ensure that customers achieve their security business outcomes with AWS.
