What you'll do

As the Senior Manager of Security Engineering, you will lead the Engagement Security team, responsible for ensuring the security of AWS's most critical customer interactions. You will develop and implement security strategies that align with AWS's overall mission and objectives. Your role involves managing a distributed team of security engineers, technical project managers, and program managers, guiding them in their efforts to maintain AWS's security standards. You will collaborate closely with other teams to ensure that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of customer engagements. Your leadership will drive the team's focus on automation and process improvement, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.

You will also be responsible for setting priorities for the team, ensuring that they are aligned with customer needs and regulatory requirements. Regular communication with stakeholders will be essential, as you will need to articulate security strategies and initiatives clearly. You will monitor industry trends and emerging threats, adapting your team's approach to stay ahead of potential risks. Your success will be measured by the team's ability to maintain a high security bar while delivering exceptional service to AWS customers.
